Passover Scars, our debut narrative film, is inspired by a mythical story that Lydia Fiyori’s family grew up hearing in Ethiopia, where the film was shot. This personal project explores the surrealism of folklore and its powerful message about how collective beliefs can skew one’s moral compass. It's a bold, cinematic piece that honors Ethiopia's rich history while enduringly confronting the tension between collectivism and individualism. Directed by Lydia Fiyori and with cinematography by Sydney Seabron.
