Angela Hill

My name is Angela Hill. I am a multidisciplinary artist from Columbus, Georgia. My creative practice is rooted in documentation, memory, and the everyday experiences that shape who we are. Photography has been my primary medium, particularly documentation work, but my practice continues to expand into painting, design, and other forms of visual storytelling.

I’m especially interested in Black life, community, identity, and the idea of the archive not just being as a place where things are stored, but as a living practice of remembering, preserving, and giving meaning to our experiences.

Unity means understanding that we are resources for our inner love. We are resources for each other. None of us moves through this world completely alone. We are powerful collectively as well as individually. We carry knowledge, stories, skills, care, and experiences that can become a resource for someone else. Unity is recognizing that what I have may be exactly what you need, and what you carry may help me see something I could not see on my own. It does not require us to be the same or even agree on everything. It asks us to recognize our connection, to make room for one another, and to understand that community becomes stronger when we choose to share what we have.
