I am Emmanuel Matthew, a Nigerian-born artist currently based in Georgia, and my practice as a self-taught film photographer is a journey rooted in storytelling, mythology, and the rhythms of life. My work is shaped by a deep desire to express complex narratives through the tactile and emotive nature of film photography. Since 2022, I have been refining my craft, using the medium as a conduit for capturing the tension between reality and the mythological worlds that I feel so connected to.

At the heart of my photography is a love for music—particularly the way music shapes and influences my emotions, perspectives, and creative process. The songs I listen to act as an anchor, guiding my visual storytelling and providing a soundtrack to the worlds I create.

Unity is the bond that brings people together, even when their lives, cultures, and experiences are different. It means recognizing that each person has a unique story, while understanding that we are all connected by our shared humanity. Unity grows through love, acceptance, respect, and support for one another. It is standing together during difficult moments and celebrating together in joyful ones. True unity does not mean everyone is the same; it means our differences can exist side by side, creating a stronger, more connected, and compassionate community.
