The Culture Exhibit
Forrest Clarke
Hi my name is Forrest Clarke, I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia to two artists. My mother is a Navajo Jeweler and my father a Jamaican Mixed Media artist. Exposed to the arts at a very young age built a passion for creating art and assisting artists. Later I would begin representing artists with my brother where we developed a skill for curating, marketing, and administrative duties. I was able to apply my education background in Music Management and Technology in Audio and lighting production to elevate these events and continued finding positions that would develop skills applicable to these projects. My career landscapes in the arts consist of POS, management, sales, and networking. I picked up photography to better be able to tell the stories of artists, and archive their work. My goal is to be a platform for great artists and help guide them in front of the eyes that need to see it.

When I think of unity I imagine the process we take when we break down the self imposed barriers and the division sewed unto us by societal pressures and expectation. This practice allows us the space share in our common experience. My father expresses a Jamaican sentiment where we use the term one love, to show that there is only one love between everyone, one continuity of our stories that we share, and a oneness that binds us together. Unity is the primary expression that brought me to pick up the camera, a sense of community that drives me to share,
