The Culture Exhibit
Nida Mitha
I'm Nida Mitha, a Pakistani-American photographer from Fayetteville, GA, with a love for little details (the ones easy to miss in the moment but that mean everything in hindsight). My focus isn't just capturing an event, but capturing a story, so that years later, one look at a photo floods you with the memory of how that day felt. My fiancé taught me the camera basics, and we began shooting graduations, couples' sessions, and pre-wedding events together. After getting my first professional camera recently, I decided to pursue photography seriously, and that love for detail and storytelling still drives every shoot I take on.

Unity, to me, is what happens when two cultures stop competing for space and start coexisting in the same frame. Growing up Pakistani-American in Fayetteville, GA, I've spent my life translating between two worlds, and photography became the place where that translation finally felt natural. My work often sits at that intersection: a traditional payal resting against a modern outfit, a South Asian ritual unfolding inside an American living room, generations gathering under one roof for a celebration that belongs to both places at once. Unity isn't a single moment for me. It's the ongoing act of holding two identities together and finding that they were never really in conflict to begin with.
