Nonso Emefo

My name is Nonso Emefo, and I am a Nigerian-American fashion & fine photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. My work highlights the natural beauty of Black people through a lens of excellence. Through that excellence, there is a journey of different emotions, some of joy, others of solemnity, but more of peace. Each picture set is carefully created and captured to allow viewers not only to feel what the images convey but also to ponder the world being created. All images are created through the digital photography format.

Unity is the idea of worlds coming together. From backgrounds, interests, perspectives, etc. The joint effort of everyone and everything to cohesively create something where it is possible to experience the same bliss equally. I think unity is something that is important and needed in the world today. There are many things that divide us or take us away from the communal aspect of life. God created us even through our differences to pour into each other and create amazing things. Experiences like this exhibition are an example of what there should be more of.
