Brikarri Jarvarus (Williams)
Rooted in Hawkinstown, GA — Now Atlanta. Brikarri’s work blurs the line between life and film. His images hold the weight of lived experiences, yet move with the precision of cinema — each frame a study in truth, care, and composition. Grounded in storytelling and community, his practice is informed by his background in Journalism and African-Centered Community Psychology. Every portrait is a dialogue — a moment suspended between identity, emotion, and presence. Featured by Adobe, Forbes, and GQ Canada, Brikarri continues to craft visual narratives that remind us: to be seen is its own kind of art. (written by Trevoi LaNair)

Through intentional composition and framing the series explores the intersections of being. The images are in quiet conversation with one another. Each image reflecting, responding, or expanding on the next.
The older man absorbed in a game of cards both contemplate the hands/circumstances they’ve been dealt, both literal, symbolic, and rooted in the presence of community. One with their community behind them and the other; their foreground.
Another portrait captures a young man meeting the audience’s gaze with a hopeful smile, his optimism mirrored by an older gentleman in a forthcoming frame.
The final photograph, depicting a father and son, ties the series together. Depicting a narrative on guidance, legacy, and the significance connection across generations.
